THE CLIP
But Hasan endorsed lynching?
The repost makes a chat message sound like Hasan's own position.
“Hasan advocated bringing back lynching.”
WHAT THE RECORD SHOWS
False attribution: a stitched compilation makes chat and reaction footage sound like a policy statement.
The original VOD shows Hasan reacting to a racist comment, not advocating lynching.
THE SURROUNDING RECORD
The viral video stitches material from broadcasts on July 30, 2024, October 29, 2024, and June 25, 2025. The lynching line appears in the October 29 source VOD, where Hasan is reacting to and reading racist comments from chat. The edit removes the setup, rearranges the sequence, and drops the surrounding criticism, making someone else's words sound like Hasan's own position.
THE QUOTED LINE
